Following the announcement of the departure of Bruno Genesio, Lille has already found its new coach. This is Davide Ancelotti.

It only took a few days for LOSC to find Bruno Genesio’s successor as head coach. President Olivier Létang took action to find his new coach from Brazil. Assistant coach to his father Carlo, Davide Ancelotti will therefore join the northern club.

First disclosed by Marca, the information has since been confirmed this Thursday by several French media. The Spanish media first recalled that Ligue 1 was not unknown to Davide Ancelotti since he discovered it when his father was in charge of the PSG team. The Italian had then learned French.

This season, son Ancelotti served as coach at Brazilian club Botafogo. He was also assistant coach to Carlo Ancelotti with the Seleçao. The most likely target in recent days for LOSC, Davide Ancelotti will therefore take up the challenge.

Davide Ancelotti arrives in Lille

The thirty-six-year-old man will notably play in the Champions League next season since Lille finished third in the last Ligue 1 championship and validated his ticket for the prestigious European Cup. A fan of an offensive game, Davide Ancelotti joins the last club to have won the French championship in place of PSG over the last nine years (2021).

The contract is a priori finalized and the two parties have agreed on everything, all that remains is to wait for LOSC to formalize the appointment of Davide Ancelotti as coach of the Mastiffs.
