Eager to strengthen its defense, particularly in the middle, PSG are reportedly eyeing Crystal Palace…

2025 will remain an unforgettable year for PSG. Consequence of the incredible sextuplet achieved by Luis Enrique’s troops, culminating in the coronation won in the Champions League, the first in the history of the Rouge et Bleu.

However, the capital club has not succeeded in everything. And more than the defeat conceded in the final of the Club World Cup against Chelsea, it is the transfer window carried out last summer which clearly looks like a failure. Lucas Chevalier never managed to take over from Gianluigi Donnarumma, to the point of losing his place at the start of winter to Matvey Safonov, and Illya Zabarnyi failed to meet expectations and the 63 million euros placed in him.

A year later, PSG are still looking for a central defender who can take over from Marquinhos alongside Pacho. Enough to make the recruitment of a new central back one of the priorities of the next summer recruitment.

A transfer around 50 million euros?

To this end, Luis Campos and his teams would have notably targeted Jaydee Canvot, a player they were already monitoring last season when he played in Toulouse. Since then, the native of Argenteuil has joined Crystal Palace where, following the departure of Marc Guéhi last winter, he established himself as a central hinge alongside Maxence Lacroix.

The good performances of the young Habs with the fresh winners of the Europa Conference League have not, however, gone unnoticed. So much so that Jaydee Canvot, whose market value is set at 20 million euros by Transfermarkt but whose possible transfer should more surely be negotiated around 50 million euros, would also be in the small papers of FC Barcelona.
