Samir Nasri will not be part of the Canal+ consulting team in Budapest for the Champions League final between PSG and Arsenal.

Samir Nasri has decided not to travel to Budapest this Saturday, where the Champions League final will be played between Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal. Initially, the former Marseillais had been accredited by Canal+ to comment on the pre-match of the final on the Puskas-Arena pitch, but he ultimately gave up.

The reason? “He was too afraid of reliving the distressing experience for him of the PSG semi-final in Munich”reports The Parisian. It must be said that the “Little Prince” was insulted throughout before and after the match of PSG’s Champions League semi-final return in Munich by the Parisian supporters gathered in the visitor’s park.

For Parisian fans, Samir Nasri is above all considered a Marseillais. This is the reason why he was the target of jokes, unlike David Ginola, who received a standing ovation at each of his interventions at the Canal+ microphone on the lawn of the Allianz Arena.

Nasri stays in Paris for the final

If he has therefore decided not to go to the Hungarian capital, Nasri will however be present on the Canal+ set in Paris. He will debrief this final, alongside Mickaël Landreau, who played for PSG from 2006 to 2009.

From then on, on the pitch, Hervé Mathoux will be accompanied by David Ginola and Laure Bouleau, two former members of the capital club. They will be accompanied by an ex-Gunner, Robert Pirès. The latter also played in Arsenal’s last Champions League final, in 2006 at the Stade de France, against FC Barcelona.
