AS Monaco becomes more popular than OM

The 2025-26 season is over in the five major European championships. Now, some players are preparing to play in the World Cup, while others are resting. However, the people who are responsible for maintaining the clubs’ social networks do not have time to take breaks, regardless of the time of year. Brand image is so essential that you have to shine across the world to have more visibility. This Wednesday, the Football Observatory (CIES) ranked clubs around the world according to their number of subscribers on the main social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and X) in its latest weekly letter. And there is a surprise.

In this ranking, two clubs stand out: Real Madrid (488 million subscribers) and FC Barcelona (442 million). Manchester United completes the podium (239 million), just ahead of Paris Saint-Germain (208 million) which is fourth, certainly after reaching the C1 final twice in a row. Then, on the edge of the Mediterranean, a surprise looms. AS Monaco (25 million) is just ahead of OM (23.8 million). If the Marseille club is full of history, some might remain perplexed about it…
