With the imminent departure of Florian Maurice, OGC Nice must find him a replacement of choice. It should not be Grégory Lorenzi: although he signed an agreement with the Riviera club in the event of Gym remaining in Ligue 1, the latter finally completed his arrival on the OM side. Well aware that it is now almost impossible to recover the former sports director of Stade Brestois, the Nice management is moving concretely on another track: that leading to Geoffrey Moncada.

At 39 years old, the current technical director of AC Milan, who maintains strong ties in the south of France since his time at Monaco, finds himself in the hot seat after the cataclysmic season of the emblematic Italian club. A real boon for the Riviera team, which has already started discussions with the manager in recent days, with a view to remaining in L1. If Moncada was waiting until now to learn more about his management’s intentions towards him, his more than likely departure from Lombardy could well speed things up in favor of the Gym.
