This is the lot of many young talents trained in the biggest European clubs: taking the last step towards the professional world is often like an obstacle course. At 21, Victor Eletu is currently having a bitter experience with AC Milan. Arriving in Lombardy as a teenager, the midfielder has accumulated more than 150 appearances in the youth categories, building a solid reputation internally. But if he is regularly invited to professional group training by the Milanese staff, the native of Lagos must be content to play with the reserves in Serie D to get playing time (28 matches played this season, for 2 goals and 3 assists). However, the potential of the Nigerian U20 international is undeniable. He also distinguished himself on the continental scene during Youth League campaigns with the Rossoneri, as well as at the U20 World Cup in the colors of the Flying Eagles. On the pitch, Eletu displays a particularly versatile profile: capable of adapting to all midfield roles (relay, sentry or a step higher), he shines with his quality of first recovery and his ability to break lines with the ball thanks to his vision, his power and his speed). Technical accuracy, coupled with real precision on set pieces, which make it a modern and particularly complete midfielder.

Despite a contract extension signed in the summer of 2025 (for two seasons, plus one optional) proving the Lombard club’s confidence in him, Victor Eletu is looking for a sporting project capable of offering him regular playing time at the high level. This status of hope to be relaunched represents a great market opportunity, and France quickly positioned itself. According to our information, AS Saint-Étienne highly appreciates his profile. At the lower level, several teams have already come to the information to try it: En Avant Guingamp, Pau FC, Grenoble, USL Dunkerque and AS Nancy Lorraine. The French market will, however, have to prove convincing, because the profile of the Milanese also appeals beyond our borders. Belgium, a championship renowned for its ability to post-train and promote young talents, is following the issue very closely. Other interests from Spain, Portugal and Eastern European clubs are also being discussed behind the scenes to secure his services. At 21, the time for the big leap has definitely come for Victor Eletu.
