For his last appearance in the colors of Liverpool, Mohamed Salah (33) impressed again at Anfield. Indeed, the Egyptian striker allowed Curtis Jones to open the scoring against Brentford in the second half, delivering an assist. And if this offering goes down in the history of the Mersey club, it is above all because it allowed the African winger to become the best passer in the championship in this jersey.

With a total of 93 assists, this record, impressive and just as striking in this context, is not simply represented by a number. Now the Liverpool star overtakes another club legend, Steven Gerrard. One has already left England for some time (2015) and the other has just said goodbye this late afternoon. The end of an era which ends in the best possible way.
