Pep Guardiola plays his last match at the Etihad Stadium at the head of Manchester City this Sunday, against Aston Villa, this Sunday (5 p.m.), thus turning the page of a historic decade in England. During his time with the Citizens, where he won 20 titles, only six teams managed to remain undefeated against the Guardiola version of Manchester City.

And among these rare teams is a French team: Olympique Lyonnais. OL even remains the Spanish technician’s true European bugbear, since it is the only team to have stood up to the Catalan coach for three matches: a 2-1 victory in Manchester, then a 2-2 draw in the group stage of the 2018-2019 Champions League, before a new feat in the quarter-final of the 2019-2020 edition with a 3-1 victory for the Lyonnais to eliminate the Citizens and take the Gones in the semi-final of the Final 8. A team that Pep Guardiola will remember.
