Beaten by Sunderland (2-1), Chelsea will not play any competition next season.

The 38th day of the Premier League has delivered its verdict, and we now know all the European qualifiers. With a victim of choice: Chelsea.

Behind Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United and Aston Villa, Liverpool secured their fifth place by taking a point against Brentford (1-1), in a match which served as a farewell ceremony for Mohamed Salah and Andrew Robertson.

Behind, Bournemouth, hanging on to Nottingham Forest (1-1), will have to settle for the Europa League, which is already a great reward for the season of Junior Kroupi and his gang.

Chelsea finished 10th

In C3, the Cherries will be accompanied by another surprise of the season, Sunderland. The Black Cats won their place in the Europa League by beating Chelsea (2-1) this Saturday, and therefore depriving the Blues (10th) of any European competition.

The continental contingent in the Premier League will be completed by Brighton, who will go to the Conference League after their final defeat against Manchester United (0-3).
