On the eve of the kick-off of the Coupe de France final between RC Lens and OGC Nice, scheduled for this Friday, May 22 at 9 p.m. at the Stade de France, new serious incidents involving Nice supporters occurred in the streets of Paris on Thursday evening.
As confirmed by the Paris Police Prefecture, a fight broke out in front of a bar located in the 10th arrondissement of the capital, during which around a hundred Aiglons, helped by people from Lille, people from Nancy as well as Germans from SaarbrĂĽcken, allegedly made trouble with Parisian supporters. Nearly 65 people were arrested, six are currently in serious condition.
Guest on France Info this morning, the president of the French Football Federation Philippe Diallo deplored these actions.
“These are certainly marginal groups because the majority of Nice supporters must arrive in Paris today. We are in everything we don’t like in football, that is to say violence, even though a Coupe de France final is a party…”
Emmanuel Grégoire: “No place for small far-right groups”
On X, the mayor of Paris strongly condemned the behavior of these “supporters”. “In the name of Paris and in my own name, I condemn with the greatest firmness these actions and send my thoughts to the victims and their loved ones, as well as to the residents of the 10th arrondissement shocked by these scenes of violencesupported the socialist. I wish to reaffirm that Paris, faithful to its history and its values, will leave no room for small far-right groups to deploy their hatred. »
“shocked by the violence last night on Quai de Valmy. The 10th is not a vent for far-right hooligans. Cafe vandalized, injured: these scenes are intolerable. Support for victims, local residents and traders. Thank you to the police »wrote the socialist on her social networks.
