In an interview with Spanish media, Luis Enrique announced the date on which he plans to end his coaching career.

A little over a week before the Champions League final between PSG and Arsenal, Luis Enrique spoke at length to the press. He notably gave an interview to the media
La Nueva Espana. On this occasion, the former Barça coach spoke about his future.

Aged 56, Luis Enrique confided that he did not want to continue his coaching career beyond the age of 60. “ I tell my wife: “I don’t want to end up like an old crust on the bench. “I don’t want that, but hey… I see more and more old croutons leading… I think that after sixty years…”, he blurted.

And to add: “ Plus, I joke with my brother Felipe. I said to him: “I have to retire before you. » He is a year younger than me, he is 55, and he will retire at 61… So do the math… »

PSG, Luis Enrique’s last club?

The calculation is simple. Luis Enrqiue therefore plans to retire in four years, in 2030. From then on, Paris Saint-Germain, where he is loved by its managers, its players and where he has become an icon among supporters, could be his final club.
