Present at the PSG Campus on the sidelines of the media day organized before the Champions League final against Arsenal, Mamadou Sakho took the time to talk about the new generation of Parisian Titis who is emerging today within the club. The former PSG defender, trained in eastern Paris before becoming captain in Paris, remains very attentive to the progress of the young people at the training center and continues to maintain a strong link with them. Very smiling in front of the media, Sakho notably recounted going into the locker room of the team involved in Gambardella before saluting the importance given to young Ile-de-France talents in the current PSG project.

I have just come out of the locker room of the team that will play Gambardella in the next two days. So yes, it’s important. In addition, the director of the center is Yoann Cabaye, my former teammate in the French team and at Crystal Palace. But of course, it’s always nice to see the door of the A team open to young Parisian talents who are simply emerging. Because Paris is full of talent in the neighborhoods, in the suburbs, in the playgrounds, in the city stadiums. When we always see a Parisian Titi joining the pro group, it’s nice, but nothing is given. You have to deserve it. Everyone who makes it to the professional team deserves it. And then I hope it will continue like this.»
