Arsenal fans get their revenge. For years, they were mocked because their club could no longer win the Premier League. On Wednesday, Mikel Arteta’s Gunners put an end to 22 years of suffering, helped by Manchester City’s draw at Bournemouth (1-1). The residents of the Emirates Stadium then celebrated this title until the early hours of the morning. They hope to win another on May 30 in Budapest against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League. A difficult mission, but not impossible.

This Thursday, the Londoners will get back to work to prepare for their final championship match against Crystal Palace before continuing with preparations for the clash against Luis Enrique’s troops. A meeting that is in their heads. Moreover, they will speak on the subject today during the media day organized by UEFA before the C1 final. Then, it will be time to celebrate the title(s) with the supporters during a parade organized on May 31 in London. Then, many players will go to the selection to participate in the World Cup. The others will benefit from a little rest.

Arsenal are ready to break the bank

For his part, Mikel Arteta and the leaders will already be at work to prepare for the future. In addition to the coach’s extension file, recruitment will be discussed. This Thursday, the Daily Mail takes stock of the Gunners’ priority. The latter want to recruit a left winger. One name stands out from the hat and from the discussions: that of Eli Kroupi Junior. This is not the first time the Frenchman has been linked with Arsenal. But this lead is seriously confirmed. It must be said that the Bournemouth player, nominated for the title of best young player in the English championship this season, made a strong impression. Used 34 times this season, the 19-year-old has scored 13 goals. His qualities and versatility have not escaped the Gunners.

THE Daily Mail evokes a price of €92 million for the former Lorient player. The Londoners are confident, they will have a good envelope to recruit this summer between the money collected thanks to the Premier League and the sums earned thanks to the Champions League. The English media are already talking about €143 million gleaned from the C1, not counting the money that a final victory would bring in and the bonuses paid by the Gunners’ sponsors. Arsenal will therefore have the means to achieve their ambitions. It remains to be seen whether the Cherries, who have assured that they will not let Kroupi Junior leave even for €100 million, will be solid on their support. Arsenal, which faces competition on this issue from PSG and Barça, should not go as high for the player but risks making a substantial offer. To be continued…
