Present at the Champions League final for the first time in twenty years, Arsenal will see their match against PSG reserved in Great Britain for TNT subscribers.

English clubs are particularly celebrating this season in European Cups. There were six clubs from across the Channel present in the round of 16 of the Champions League, five of them having finished in the Top 8 of the League phase.

If the rest was more complicated for the English representatives, in particular against PSG, who successively eliminated Chelsea and Liverpool, Arsenal won their ticket to the final of the Champions League, hoping to put an end to the dark streak of the Premier League residents against the capital club.

And England can even still dream of an incredible treble since Aston Villa will face Freiburg in the Europa League final this Wednesday and Crystal Palace will face Rayo Vallecano in the Europa Conference League final. Three finals of which the majority of English spectators will nevertheless be deprived.

The final broadcast on M6 in France

The holder of the TV rights to the European Cups in England, TNT Sports, which broadcast the Champions League final unencrypted until this year, has in fact decided to include these matches in the content accessible for a subscription set at £31.99, or a little more than 36 euros. The finals will also be accessible on HBO Max via a subscription for £4.99 (5.76 euros).

This announcement sparked strong reactions but the Champions League final is not among the events which must be broadcast unencrypted like the World Cup or Euro matches (men’s or women’s), the Olympic and Paralympic Games or the Rugby World Cup final. In France, the C1 final is on the contrary among the events which must be broadcast in the clear and like last year, it is M6 which has recovered the rights from Canal+, which will also broadcast the match.
