Opposed to Rouen this Tuesday for the first leg of Ligue 2-National, Laval leaves Normandy with a good draw (1-1).

Sixteenth at the end of the Ligue 2 season, Laval was left with a Ligue 2-National play-off. The first round of the duel between Rouen took place this Tuesday evening in Normandy. The Tangos managed to score first only to be caught again and concede a draw (1-1). Rather a good operation before the return scheduled for May 24.

Olivier Frapolli’s men were the first to get into action and opened the scoring even before the first twenty minutes of play had elapsed. Cyril Mandouki found the target and put Laval in front (0-1, 18th). Not discouraged, the locals stayed in place and looked for the fault without finding it.

At least until the break, because just three minutes after returning from the locker room, Régis Brouard’s protégés benefited from a penalty converted by Valentin Fuss (1-1, 48th). Madness in the aisles of the Robert Diochon stadium. Somewhat stunned after this calamitous start to the second act, the Laval residents quickly got back in the right direction and once again had some great opportunities.

Laval and Rouen, see you Sunday

However, they did not score any of their four shots until the final whistle. No winner between Rouennais and Lavallois (1-1) and everything remains to be decided before the second and final round.

It is on Sunday that the two teams will meet again, exactly at 5 p.m. on the lawn of the Francis Le Basser stadium. Who from Laval or Rouen will win (or keep) their place in Ligue 2? And who will play in National, who will be called Ligue 3 from next season?
