Marie-Louise Eta’s stint as interim coach of Union Berlin appears to be a huge achievement. The first woman to win a match in the five major European championships, she completely restored confidence to the Germans during the most critical moment of the season. Furthermore, yesterday afternoon, she concluded her interim in style with a 4-0 victory against Augsburg, demonstrating her fundamental impact since April.

If some were wondering about her role and her way of proceeding on a bench in Europe, she ended up maintaining her training in the Bundesliga and therefore leaves a nice mark in the capital. At 34, she can leave serenely, freed from this heavy weight and in passing… silence the many criticisms that were looming.
