Already crowned champion for several weeks, Inter Milan of Marcus Thuram and Lautaro Martínez continued its season in management, while the fight for the Champions League remained completely open on the occasion of the penultimate day of Serie A played this Sunday. The clash of the day pitted AS Roma against Lazio in a capital derby, and it was Gasperini’s men who struck a big blow thanks to a double from Mancini, winning 2-0. A valuable victory which consolidates Roma in 4th place heading into the final day.
In the other matches, Juventus again let slip points at home against Fiorentina, beaten 0-2 on a goal from Ndour, former Paris Saint-Germain player then a break goal from Mandragora. A new poor performance which further weakens the European position of the people of Turin. Naples, for its part, consolidated its second place by logically winning against Pisa (0-3). AC Milan also reacted at the right time by dominating Genoa (1-2), notably with an achievement from Nkunku. For its part, Como also won against Parma (1-0). In the standings, Naples consolidates its second place, Milan returns to the podium, while Juventus falls back and temporarily leaves the qualifying places for the Champions League, now sixth.
