Kylian Mbappé is making the headlines and it’s not for nothing. Returning from injury against Real Oviedo last night (2-0), the star of the Merengue squad was at the heart of numerous controversies in recent weeks. A trip to Italy with his girlfriend had particularly attracted attention. After the La Liga match at the Santiago Bernabéu, the 27-year-old striker was present in front of the media to answer all the questions that were on people’s minds. And so he returned to his escapade in the Boot, without going through any hassle.
“On vacation? You don’t know what I did in Italy. You don’t even know if I was on vacation, that’s your opinion. You said “vacation,” and you don’t know anything about it. Here, the most important thing is to win titles. That’s where I made a mistake, like all my teammates. The rest are just opinions. People don’t know the context, why I went there, whether I had permission from the club or not, which I did. And in the end, all this does is sell stories and create controversy. But the only thing that matters to me, my goal, is to win titles. This is where we made a mistake”.
