Real Madrid is not yet at the end of its troubles. Just over a week before the end of its (very) difficult 2025-2026 season, during which it did not win any trophies, Casa Blanca must now tackle the next summer transfer window. This one promises to be particularly lively, on all floors.
First, Florentino Perez will have to appoint a new coach. Everything suggests that Alvaro Arbeloa, replacement for Xabi Alonso on January 12, will not be extended on the bench and will thus retain the title of interim coach. His record having been marked by 15 victories, 2 draws and 8 defeats in all competitions, one elimination in the quarter-finals of the Champions League, as well as another in the round of 16 of the King’s Cup.
Then comes the other priority file: the squad for next season. While waiting to – potentially – appoint José Mourinho, the big favorite to become the next tactician, Madrid management is already active internally regarding departures.
Camavinga, Carvajal, Lunin…
According to ABC Deportesnine players are more likely to leave the club, rather than stay there. Unsurprisingly, David Alaba (33) and Dani Carvajal (34), both at the end of their contract next June, are at the top of the list and should leave for free.
Six sales are thus studied by Real. Those of Eduardo Camavinga (23 years old), Andriy Lunin (27 years old), Dani Ceballos (29 years old), Gonzalo Garcia (22 years old), Raul Asencio (23 years old) and Fran Garcia (26 years old). Even if the cases of the two defenders could change in view of the injuries to Ferland Mendy and Eder Militao. Franco Mastantuono (18 years old) should be loaned out.
