Before their first match of the 2026 World Cup, the Blues have a few important meetings on the program. Here they are.

Didier Deschamps unveiled this Thursday the list of 26 players summoned with the France team to compete in the 2026 World Cup. If Eduardo Camavinga, Benjamin Pavard or even Corentin Tolisso are not part of the trip, Robin Risser, Maxence Lacroix or even Jean-Philippe Mateta have validated their ticket. While waiting for the big meeting, the Blues have other steps to take.

Some important dates and meetings in the French team’s calendar before leaving for North America. Next stop: May 28. That day, the French staff will find a good part of the players, with the exception of those concerned by the Champions League final scheduled for May 30 in Budapest between Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal (6 p.m.). For those who will be present, this will be the start of the course at Clairefontaine.

Then will come Thursday June 4 which will be the time of the first of the last two friendly matches that the French will play before the World Cup. Didier Deschamps and his men will be near Nantes, more precisely at Beaujoire, to face Ivory Coast. Four days later, it will be time to head to Lille for the final preparatory match, this time against Northern Ireland.

An intense month for the Blues before the World Cup

The next day will be the big day. At least the one at the start. Head to the airport for a few hours plane ride to Boston. It is in Massachusetts that the Blues will then take up their summer quarters, on a sixty-six hectare campus located in the suburbs of Boston.

A week later, the big debut of the finalists of the last edition of the World Cup will take place. With heavy going from the start since the French will face Senegal on Tuesday June 16, as part of their first group match.
