Asked about the tense context around Real Madrid, the Spanish leader brushed aside any initial ideas with a strong sentence: “They’ll have to shoot me to get rid of me.” Before attacking part of the Spanish press head-on: “Journalists think they are all-powerful. They have no power, because people are very clever.”
Very upset, Florentino Pérez also vigorously defended the Madrid institution in the face of recent media attacks. “There is no club like Real Madrid in history”he said, while comparing the treatment reserved for the Merengue club to that of Atlético de Madrid.
