Ayyoub Bouaddi’s international future seems to be taking shape. Hesitating between France and Morocco for a long time, he would now move closer to the Atlas Lions.

The Ayyoub Bouaddi file is reportedly about to reach its epilogue. Long shared between France and Morocco, the LOSC midfielder has finally decided to defend the colors of Morocco. A decision awaited for several months and which could be made official in the coming days.

At only 18 years old, Bouaddi is one of the great hopes of French football. Author of a remarkable season with Lille, where he has already played more than 30 matches in all competitions, the young midfielder impresses with his maturity, his technical quality and his ability to play at a high level despite his age. A speech from the player was expected after Lille’s victory in Monaco this weekend.

On the Moroccan side, we already seem convinced of the outcome of the discussions. According to insider Yousseffamz13, the staff led by Mohamed Ouahbi would have included the player in a first expanded list with a view to the 2026 World Cup. A way of anticipating the arrival of a profile considered strategic for the future of the selection.

A long-standing file

The Royal Moroccan Football Federation has been working on this issue for many months. In March, Mohamed Ouahbi traveled to Lille to meet the player and his entourage, proof of the importance given to this issue internally. A visibly effective seduction operation, while Morocco has been increasing its success with young dual nationals in recent years.

After recently convincing Rayane Bounida, Morocco could therefore offer itself a new major talent of his generation. Unless the situation turns around, Ayyoub Bouaddi should quickly discover the environment of the Atlas Lions and could even take his first steps in the next preparation meetings before the 2026 World Cup.
