Real Oviedo is officially relegated to the second division four days before the end of the championship, after an unfavorable result against Getafe (0-0) which puts an end to its last hopes of remaining. The club’s return to La Liga was therefore only short-lived, an outcome which confirms an overall insufficient season despite a few weeks of resistance.
This descent can be explained by a difficult exercise from the first days, marked by contested structural choices and persistent sporting instability. Despite a fighting spirit and constant support from the public, Oviedo lacked offensive efficiency and consistency.
