Despite the prospect of direct qualification for the Champions League, Losc should see Bruno Genesio leave the North.

Lille has paid in the past to know that everything can collapse on the last day. Nevertheless, by winning in Monaco on Sunday, on the occasion of the 33e day of Ligue 1, Losc signed a (very) big blow in the race for the Champions League.

Taking advantage of the defeat of Olympique Lyonnais in Toulouse, the northern club has indeed climbed onto the podium of Ligue 1 and will obtain direct qualification for the Champions League in the event of a victory against Auxerre, next weekend, on the last day.

The crossing of the desert at the beginning of winter now seems a long way away and much of the credit goes to Bruno Genesio. The former midfielder, however, seemed to be on the ropes when Losc fell 11 points behind the podium in mid-February. But he never gave up and found the keys to allow the Northerners to string together eight wins and five draws in their last 13 matches.

Stéphane Dumont already contacted

Enough to reassure the Lille leaders to continue the adventure with the native of Lyon, at the end of his contract next June. But to believe The Teamit would be time for separation. A meeting is scheduled for the start of next season and could seal the departure of Bruno Genesio.

While his name is mentioned among Marseille and Nice, Lille have already started to prepare for the future. The northern management would have contacted Stéphane Dumont, formerly of the house and architect of Troyes’ rise to the elite. The name of Thiago Motta is also mentioned.
