Vegedream will be in the spotlight for one of the three opening ceremonies of the World Cup.

The 2026 World Cup will begin in a month to the day. Organized jointly by the United States, Canada and Mexico, the competition will benefit from three separate opening ceremonies.

Each host will therefore have their own show. In particular the country with the maple leaf on the flag, on June 12 in Toronto, just before facing Bosnia-Herzegovina in the first match of group B. Vegedream is scheduled in the capital of the province of Ontario, in the company of artists such as Nora Fatehi or Michael Bublé.

Now aged 33, the French singer/rapper made himself known to the general public with “Bring the Cup Home”. Released in July 2018, a few days after the victory of the French team at the World Cup in Russia, this title had become a real anthem for the Blues.

The song reached first place in the SNEP rankings in France. Today, this hit has nearly 603 million streams on Spotify and 639 million views on YouTube.

Four years later, Vegedream once again paid tribute to the performance of Didier Deschamps’ men during the World Cup in Qatar. We had to wait ten days after the failure in the final against Argentina for the title “Merci les Bleus” to be revealed in full.
