The end of Real Madrid’s season is turning into disillusionment on a sporting level, with a white season looming, but above all an increasingly visible internal crisis. Behind the scenes, tensions are increasing in a weakened locker room, where relations between certain executives now appear deeply degraded, in particular between Kylian Mbappé and Vinicius Junior.
The situation deteriorated further during training. According to several sources, a particularly tense altercation took place between Aurélien Tchouaméni and Federico Valverde last Thursday. The two players exchanged insults before the situation degenerated into a physical confrontation, requiring the intervention of several teammates to separate them. In the confusion, Valverde fell heavily and lost consciousness for a few moments, before being treated medically.
According to the elements mentioned by the club, the two midfielders were then financially sanctioned by the club. Real Madrid thus imposed a fine of 500,000 euros on each, without sporting suspension, in an attempt to calm the situation.
An attitude that questions
Aurélien Tchouaméni also participated in the defeat against FC Barcelona (2-0), a setback which sealed the hopes of a La Liga title. But it’s especially his behavior after the match that gets people talking.
According to Spanish media, the French midfielder neither accompanied his teammates to greet the Barça players, nor took part in thanking the supporters, unlike several of his partners. An attitude perceived as distant internally, which further fuels criticism in an already explosive context.
