Auxerre offers itself the right to still believe in it

Winner of a decisive match against Nice (2-1), AJ Auxerre leaves the red zone before the last red zone in Ligue 1. But the danger is far from over.

Winner of Angers (3-1) last weekend, AJ Auxerre offered themselves what looked like a final to maintain against Nice this Sunday evening. By winning (2-1), Christophe Pélissier’s men have earned the right to continue to believe in it before a 34th day which promises to be perilous.

We already had to beat Nice, so already. And it wasn’t easy, because the Aiglons opened the scoring quite quickly through Sofiane Diop (9th). But the Auxerrois have faith in this end of the season, and after the equalizing goal from Sékou Mara (27th), it was the other home scorer, Lassine Sinayoko, who blew away the Abbé-Deschamps (70th).

Auxerre, Nice… and Le Havre, everything remains to be done

The AJA therefore leaves the red zone, where its evening opponent plunges, but nothing is done. During the last multiplex, Nice will start as a clear favorite against the red lantern, Metz, which could condemn Auxerre to win in Lille, against a team which will play for a place in the Champions League next season.

There is, however, another parameter in the equation. Le Havre, beaten by OM (0-1), is not yet saved. The Normans are only one point ahead of Auxerre and Nice. Everything remains to be done! And the loser of this three-way battle will be the barrage.
