Mason Greenwood’s name is circulating behind the scenes at Paris FC as the transfer window approaches.

The Mason Greenwood case continues to stir behind the scenes. Long protected by Roberto De Zerbi during his debut, the English winger has experienced a completely different dynamic since the arrival of Habib Beye. After a generally convincing first season, his behavior and his involvement would have clearly evolved, to the point of internal questions.

According to a long file published by The Teamseveral tensions appeared over the months. The player would have gradually distanced himself from certain executives of the club and its management, to the point of breaking off all exchanges with certain officials. Icy relations would be noted in particular with Medhi Benatia, with whom dialogue would be completely broken.

Still according to the sports daily, tensions date back to last summer. The Englishman would have notably missed a marketing commitment with the club’s equipment supplier, while declining several initiatives linked to his integration, including efforts to progress in French. So many elements which would have contributed to deteriorating its image internally.

Even more worrying, certain behaviors off the field would have fueled tensions. The player would have sometimes circumvented certain internal rules linked to recovery and physical preparation, while minor incidents with members of the club would also have been reported during training, without major excesses however.

In this context, a departure at the end of the season takes on weight. Several clubs are monitoring the situation closely, including Paris FC, cited among those interested in Le10Sport. But the file promises to be complex. Indeed, the player’s salary requirements and the costs linked to a possible transfer would greatly exceed the standards of the Parisian club, making the operation very uncertain at this stage.
