Aubameyang, the sanction falls

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will perhaps never wear the colors of OM again.

Sunday, at 9 p.m., Olympique de Marseille will travel to Le Havre, on the occasion of the 33rd day of Ligue 1. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will not be part of the Marseille group.

According to RMC Sport, this is a sidelining of the Gabonese striker. He would have been the instigator of the excesses that occurred at the Commanderie, at the end of OM’s shutdown. A fire extinguisher was notably used to spray Bob Tahri, the representative of the Olympian sports management.

Returning to the Marseille city last summer, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang started the season well. What followed was more complicated. Since the arrival of Habib Beye on the sidelines, his record has been meager. Some of his performances were very disappointing.

Aubameyang and OM, end of the story?

Notably the latest, during the humiliation suffered against FC Nantes last weekend. This was perhaps his last match in the colors of OM, even if his contract runs until June 2027.

The Marseille club still has a tiny hope of finishing in fourth place in the standings. Which would allow him to get a ticket for the third preliminary round of the Champions League. Still an improbable scenario given the current poor dynamics.
