This is the sad news this afternoon. Not content with already having to deal with not really encouraging news, Real Madrid saw the conflict between Federico Valverde and Aurélien Tchouameni degenerate. Yesterday, the two men had a big altercation before being separated. This Thursday, they did it again and the latest echoes from Madrid reported a nasty head injury for Valverde requiring stitches in hospital. RMC Sport even clarified that the Uruguayan lost consciousness.

From, A.S. gave more details to explain how the two players got to this point. The Madrid daily confirms that Valverde refused to shake Tchouameni’s hand, which made the start of training tense. The number 8 merengue did not stop there since he did not let go of the Frenchman for a single moment. Clearly, before joining the training ground, Valverde accused the former Bordeaux player of having leaked their altercation yesterday to the media, which Tchouameni denied. The French midfielder even insisted on not being in contact with the press.

Valverde pushed Tchouameni to the limit

An explanation which obviously did not convince Valverde who continued his pressure on Tchouameni on the Valdebebas pitch. “While the team was training, Valverde continued to put pressure on Tchouameni by asking him who leaked the information. And during this time, as we insistently point out in Valdebebas, Arbeloa did not intervene”writes AS. Some will not fail to be surprised by the lack of reaction from the Merengue coach. Especially since the two players continued to insult each other in front of uncomfortable teammates. At the end of training, Tchouameni then tried to speak with his captain, in order to ease the tension. But Valverde obviously wanted to fight. It was bad for him.

“Once we got to the locker room, Valverde just kept going and going and going. Sources close to the situation call it “relentless.” Tchouameni then stopped and spoke to him, apparently, in a calm manner. He asked her to stop, that he had to put an end once and for all to the climate of hostility that reigned. But Valverde didn’t stop. Far from it. Some players stepped in to mediate, to advocate for an immediate end to the accusations. In vain. And that’s when Tchouameni had enough. AS was able to confirm that he then punched Valverde violently. A blow that hit him squarely in the head and knocked him to the ground. That’s when he hit himself and opened a wound. An injury which was not caused directly by Tchouameni’s blow, but by the consequences of his fall.concludes the newspaper. This is when Valverde lost consciousness before being taken to hospital.
