After almost ten years at Manchester City, Bernardo Silva is leaving. Arriving from AS Monaco in July 2017, the Portuguese international will spend nine seasons with the Skyblues. At the end of his contract next June, he will now set off on new adventures. In the meantime, he has already organized a going-away party. A visibly drunken moment.
As reported by Dailymail, Bernardo Silva and John Stones chose to jointly celebrate their departure. Many teammates were there to have a good time. Phil Foden and his partner Rebeccas Cooke, but also the former City defender who left at the start of the season for Burnley, Kyle Walker.
Organized at the Louis Night Club at Manchester City Centre, the evening ended at the (very reasonable) time of 1:30 a.m. Also present were Mateo Kovacic with his wife Izabel. The English international goalkeeper James Trafford and the former Arsenal glory Kolo Toure, now a member of Pep Guardiola’s staff at Manchester City, also celebrated the event.
Bernardo Silva to FC Barcelona?
Once the evening was over, Bernardo Silva was taken back by car by his Seleçao teammate, Ruben Dias. A member of the staff present that evening indicated that Bernardo Silva is probably “not in a condition” to return alone, even on foot. Many other players were present, including Erling Haaland, Marc Guehi, Rodri, Matheus Nunes, Rayan Ait Nouri and Nathan Ake.
At 31, Bernardo Silva will now embark on a new adventure. In 455 matches played in the colors of the Skyblues, he scored 76 goals and provided 77 assists, in all competitions. He could continue his career in Spain where FC Barcelona dreams of welcoming him. Juventus and Galatasaray are also on the lookout.
