Monument of PSG, Marquinhos is the last survivor of the first transfer window of the QSI era. The Brazilian, who spent almost his entire career in Paris, went through all the stages and therefore experienced the numerous disappointments of PSG in the Champions League. Captain of the club during the coronation last season, and after failing against Bayern Munich in 2020, the 31-year-old defender could relive a dream evening on May 30 against Arsenal. And even if his club reaches another final, Marquinhos realizes the feat.
“If I realize? Yes, I realize what we are doing. All the years I’ve spent, I know how hard it is to get there. The younger ones perhaps don’t realize too much because they have only experienced these three years and therefore a semi-final and two finals. But me, with all the journey, I realize. It was my 5th semi-final in 13 years, my 3rd final now. I know how difficult the course is, we played very high level teams”
