Winner of its rival Liverpool (3-2), Manchester United took a big step towards a place on the podium at the end of the season.

It won’t count for a title, but it’s still a great way to negotiate the end of the season for Manchester United. In a shock especially for honor, against the great rival, while the two clubs are well on their way to qualifying for the next Champions League, the Red Devils offered themselves a prestigious success against Liverpool (3-2).

Michael Carrick’s men got off to a flying start, with two early goals from Matheus Cunha (6th) and Benjamin Sesko (12th), before getting scared at the start of the second half. Despite a decimated attack (Ekitiké, Salah and Isak absent), the Reds managed to come back thanks to Dominik Szoboszlai (47th) and Cody Gakpo (56th), who took advantage of a big restart error from Senne Lammens.

Man Utd finally regained the upper hand with a nice goal from Kobbie Mainoo (77th), one of the players revived by the arrival of Michael Carrick in the middle of the season. And with this victory, Bruno Fernandes took a big step towards third place at the end of the season.
