Manchester United still hesitating for Michael Carrick

As Manchester United prepares to decide on the future of its bench, the situation of Michael Carrick continues to be debated internally. According to the English press, the former Red Devils midfielder does not yet have a team fully shaped in his image. “It’s not Michael Carrick’s team yet. I am even told that he is not playing the football he wants”confided Andy Mitten, a famous English journalist, in the show Talk of the Devilshighlighting a gap between the technician’s ideas and the current reality on the ground.

In this context of strategic thinking, Sir Jim Ratcliffe and the Mancunian management are still hesitating between several profiles for the permanent position, while qualification for the Champions League seems to be getting closer. If Carrick appears to be the natural favorite after his recent results, notably the victory against Brentford, the competition remains keen, starting with Andoni Iraola, impressive with Bournemouth and also courted by Chelsea and Crystal Palace.
