Change of era in sight in Toulouse. TFC announced this Wednesday the departure at the end of the season of its coach, Carles Martinez Novell. The Spanish technician arrived in 2023, after the victory in the Coupe de France, to succeed Philippe Montanier. According to the Dispatch, the decision was taken after a meeting at the start of the week between the coach and his management.

After a good first season in 2023-2024, marked by the adventure in the Europa League and in particular the victory against Liverpool at the Stadium, Carles Martinez Novell extended his contract for two additional years. After finishing 11th then 10th, TFC is in the same waters in Ligue 1 this season (currently 10th with three days remaining), with its maintenance already assured. A new era will now begin for the Ville Rose club.
