PSG supporters’ day was marked by serious incidents on the sidelines of the trip to Angers. On a motorway rest area on the A11, near La Ferté-Bernard, two groups from the Collectif Ultras Paris met before the situation degenerated. The Urban Paris group was allegedly targeted by around forty members of the Parias Cohortis, in what appears to be an organized attack according to information from the newspaper The Parisian. Taken by surprise, the supporters present on the bus were subjected to jets of projectiles and smoke bombs, without trying to respond, in particular because of the presence of families on board…
Indeed, the bus in question was heavily damaged, with broken windows and visible damage, without a precise toll of injuries being communicated. Faced with the seriousness of the situation, the travel of many supporters was canceled, severely limiting the Parisian presence in Angers. This violence is part of a climate of persistent tensions between ultra groups, fueled by previous clashes in recent months. PSG, informed of the facts, strongly condemned these actions and does not rule out sanctions, while these events revive concerns around a return of violence in the club environment.
