Super Eagle dies in the field at age 40

Former center forward for the Nigerian team, Michael Eneramo died this Friday of a heart attack while participating in a football match.

Nigerian football is in mourning, hit by the sudden death of former Super Eagles striker Michael Eneramo. At the age of only 40.

Although he had hung up his professional football boots since 2018, the striker, who notably played for Besiktas Istanbul, had not abandoned his passion – a heart attack struck him this Friday in Kaduna, in the north of Nigeria.

He collapsed and died instantly.reports the Nigerian Football Federation. Attempts to resuscitate him failed. His death was pronounced at the hospital.
