The rumor is growing around Mathis Jangeal. Considered one of the greatest talents of the 2008 generation of Paris Saint-Germain, the 17-year-old attacking midfielder seems to be moving further and further away from his training club. Having reached the end of his aspiring contract at the end of the season, the Parisian titi did receive an offer for his first professional contract, but this has not yet been accepted. Behind the scenes, several European clubs are sniffing out the opportunity and trying to convince the youth international to take the plunge this summer. The signals sent in recent days suggest that its future could take shape far from the French capital.

In recent weeks, two German teams had already expressed concrete interest. The Hamburg project had in particular been mentioned with insistence, the German club wishing to capitalize on the potential of the young Parisian to strengthen its offensive sector. At the same time, Eintracht Frankfurt was also following the matter closely. Enough to increase the pressure around PSG, especially as Jangeal is coming off a remarkable season with the young Parisians. Brilliant in the Gambardella Cup with 4 goals and 3 assists in just five games, he also took part in the U19s’ European adventure in the Youth League, which was stopped in the semi-final after a cruel duel against Real Madrid. A progression which even allowed him to taste the first team under the orders of Luis Enrique with a few appearances this season alongside Quentin Ndjantou, including one in the Champions League against FC Barcelona.

A third German club on the attack

But the battle continues to intensify since according to information from The TeamStuttgart would now have joined the dance. The German club recently presented its sporting project to the Jangeal clan and intends to position itself seriously in this highly coveted issue. Stuttgart sees in the young Parisian a profile capable of quickly integrating into its policy of developing young talents. The interest of this third suitor now transforms the situation into a real three-way race, where Germany clearly appears as the most likely destination for the PSG titi. The Bundesliga thus confirms its appetite for the talents of the Parisian training center.

Because in recent years, the axis between PSG and the Bundesliga has often served as a springboard for several young Parisians. Players like Christopher Nkunku at RB Leipzig, Moussa Diaby at Bayer Leverkusen and Tanguy Kouassi at Bayern Munich have chosen Germany to launch their careers at the highest level. More recently, El Chadaille Bitshiabu also took charge of Leipzig, confirming the attractiveness of the German championship for young people trained in Paris. The Jangeal file is part of an already well-established trend to which we can also add Xavi Simons in Leipzig or Hugo Ekitike and Junior Dina Ebimbe in Frankfurt. While PSG manages other sensitive cases within its pool, such as those of Ibrahim Mbaye or Senny Mayulu, foreign competition continues to use itself directly at the source.
