Despite PSG’s defeat against Lyon this Sunday evening (1-2), the Parisian club mainly retained a positive note with the great return of Fabián Ruiz. Away from the field for almost three months, the Spanish midfielder returned to competition at the Parc des Princes, entering in the 72nd minute of play. An expected return after a long absence linked to a knee injury contracted last January.

Beyond PSG, this return is also very good news for the Spanish selection, a few weeks before the 2026 World Cup. Already European Champion in 2024 with La Roja, Fabián Ruiz is gradually regaining rhythm at the key moment of the season. A rise in power closely followed by the Spanish staff, who are counting on him to find an important place in Luis de la Fuente’s system this summer. “This is undoubtedly excellent news for the Spanish national team as well, since Luis de la Fuente has reserved a place for him in the squad for the World Cup which begins on June 11”explain Mundo Deportivo.
