PSG captain Sakina Karchaoui sent a strong message on the collective agreement for French women’s football.

The players in the French championship are starting to lose patience. Following the creation of the Women’s Professional Football League (LFFP) in July 2024, a collective agreement was to see the light of day. But almost two years later, the negotiations have still not been concluded.

A blockage which is seriously starting to annoy. In a column published Tuesday in the newspaper
The Teamthe captains of the First and Second League stepped up to the plate. They denounce a situation “
incomprehensible ” And ” unacceptable “.

It is in this context that Sakina Karchaoui, captain of PSG, expressed her anger. “ We can no longer accept that the players’ commitment is not recognized at its true value. », lamented the French international.

Karchaoui: “Respect cannot be said, it must be proven”

And to add: “ Behind every match, there is work, sacrifice and careers that deserve to be respected and protected. Today, action is overdue. Because ultimately, respect is not said, it is proven. »

As part of this forum, the captains recall that they exercise “the same job with the same requirements » than their male colleagues, therefore demanding the same rights. They are now calling on all stakeholders to sit down around the table to find an agreement on this collective agreement before the start of next season.
