“What matters to me is to have fun, to continue to be happy on the pitch and that my sky is blue. I want to give pleasure to people, to my teammates, to repay the trust given by Monaco. And above all, keep my desire to progress and be more decisive. Talking about anything else makes no sense today”said Maghnes Akliouche a little over a month ago, as he returned to his best level for AS Monaco. But if he doesn’t want to talk about his future, things have been going on behind the scenes in recent days.

Under contract until 2028 with the Principality club, called up regularly by Didier Deschamps and probably in the list for the 2026 World Cup with the France team, Maghnes Akliouche is at a crossroads. His summer will inevitably rhyme with market, since the clubs are moving forward on his file. This is particularly the case for several English teams, according to our information. But that’s not all since Paris Saint-Germain is still interested in the services of the 24-year-old attacking midfielder.

Compatible with PSG

Akliouche is considered a good option by Parisian management with a view to the next transfer window. If Luis Enrique has already made it clear that he does not want to upset the structure of his squad, he will still need to inject new blood, without even waiting for the possible departure of certain elements. Versatile on the offensive front, endowed with a large volume of play and interesting percussion qualities, Akliouche seems compatible with the game plan advocated by the Spanish technician.

You will still have to be wary of English competition, since many of them have ticked off Akliouche’s name. And they have a checkbook thick enough to satisfy AS Monaco. The Principality club will have difficulty retaining its jewel for another year (it had already opened the door last summer), and could take the opportunity to collect a nice transfer fee, not insignificant given the current state of finances. Maghnes Akliouche is ready for a change of scenery and will have to think about his preferred destination.
