For his last season at Liverpool, Mohamed Salah is in great difficulty. Close to leaving last summer, the Egyptian decided to continue on the banks of the Mersey. An unwise choice because the 33-year-old striker has been downgraded and is struggling to perform. Very little used during the double confrontation against PSG in the Champions League, Salah started this Sunday against Everton.

In a hot derby against the Toffees, the Pharaoh responded. After a goal was denied to Iliman Ndiaye, Salah was launched into the area on a superb pass from Cody Gakpo. Against Pickford, Salah did not hesitate and scored his 7th goal of the season in the Premier League. An achievement which allowed him to enter the history of the Mersey derby by becoming the first scorer in the Hill Dickinson Stadium. He also becomes the top scorer in the history of this derby alongside Steven Gerrard.
