Winner of Everton this Sunday in the derby (2-1), Liverpool consolidated its fifth place and is 7 points ahead of Chelsea with five days remaining. In a good position to qualify for the Champions League, the Reds have done well and will have to confirm this in the coming weeks. Strong man of the club coached by Arne Slot, Dominik Szoboszlai was invaluable with 12 goals and 9 assists in 48 matches.

Coming two years from the end of his contract, he commented on his personal situation after the derby: “there has been no real progress regarding my new contract. My contract ends in 2028, so I’m ready to give everything every day, every week, and then we’ll see. I love being here, as I have said many times. I love the fans and I feel really good here. My family is happy. We’ll see.”
