Football is cruel and Tottenham learned that the hard way. The London club, still 18th in the Premier League, conceded a more than cruel draw on its home pitch against Brighton this Saturday. Roberto De Zerbi’s Spurs thought they would win when Xavi Simons found Bart Verbruggen’s top corner (77th, 2-1). But Tottenham, still as fragile defensively, even in the absence of Cristian Romero, were joined in the final minutes after a goal from Georginio Rutter in added time (90th + 5, 2-2).

After the meeting, Roberto De Zerbi appeared in front of English journalists to give his impressions. Before going on air, the Italian technician spoke to the journalist and did not hide his frustration, while showing a small smile: “ Sometimes football is bastard? (laughs) I can’t say it? But people know it! They think like me. Because I am a man of the people », he indicated with a bit of humor. In the meantime, Tottenham remain in the relegation zone and have only five days left to save themselves.
