Jean-Pierre Escalettes, former president of the French Football Federation between 2005 and 2010, died this Tuesday April 14 at the age of 90. An important figure in French football, he marked his time at the head of the body during a period rich in events for the Blues, where he notably left his mandate following the Knysna scandal, in the wake of the 2010 World Cup.

The FFF quickly reacted by sending its most sincere thoughts to his family, his loved ones and the entire football family. A tribute supported by Philippe Diallo, the current president of the FFF: “after having given so much to amateur football, as a player, educator, manager, then president of the Federal Amateur Football League, Jean-Pierre Escalettes chaired the French Football Federation from 2005 to 2010. During these five years, the FFF notably saw the French team compete in the World Cup final in 2006 and obtained the designation of France as the organizing country of Euro 2016”he said.
