FC Barcelona continues to strengthen its global appeal, as evidenced by offers to play friendly matches abroad. The last proposal concerns a meeting in South Korea, for which the Catalan club could receive between 9 and 10 million euros. However, management must consider the difficulty of a long trip for a single match, especially this summer when Barça is planning a training camp at St. Georges’ Park, near Birmingham, rather than a tour in Asia according to information from Mundo Deportivo.
The Catalan club is also studying other offers: a match in Peru (7 to 8 million euros), another in Morocco (around 5 million) and a friendly against Napoli on August 1 at the Diego Armando Maradona stadium. Barça previously refused a match in Libya for security reasons, while Atlético Madrid accepted the same offer, illustrating the complexity of travel and security decisions for these lucrative matches.
