Loaned by Real Madrid to Olympique Lyonnais, Endrick is now set on the rest of his career.

Real Madrid has decided for its offensive future. Loaned to Olympique Lyonnais during the winter transfer window, Endrick quickly made his mark in the Rhône. Looking for playing time to get back on track for the 2026 World Cup, the young Brazilian, after a promising start followed by a more delicate period, now seems to have found the right rhythm.

Sunday, against Lorient, his entry at the break changed the match. A decisive passer and involved in the second goal, he largely contributed to Lyon’s success (2-0), allowing OL to remain in contact with the podium, just two points, and one length behind the play-off places in the Champions League.

While a prolonged future in Lyon was mentioned for a time, Madrid’s position is unequivocal: there is no question of giving up its nugget. The Merengue club closed the door to any summer offers and reaffirmed to Endrick his role in the project. A strong signal, after questions that have emerged in recent months, including those around the player.

Gonzalo Garcia asked to leave the club

To guarantee him a place, Real would have even made a major decision at the same time: parting ways with Gonzalo Garcia. Despite having certain potential, the striker would no longer be part of the plans for next season. According to The Athletiche is invited to find a new base in order to continue his progress.

A strong choice, especially as the Spaniard remained on a positive dynamic. Extended until 2030 after finishing as joint top scorer in the Club World Cup with four goals last summer, Gonzalo Garcia faces fierce competition. While the 22-year-old is being pushed out to gain experience, Endrick is already establishing himself as a key element of the Madrid project for years to come.
