Complete rout for AC Milan this Saturday. The Rossoneri were punished at home by Udinese (0-3, 32nd day of Serie A).

In the race for the title of champions just a few weeks ago, AC Milan has been having a very bad time for four days. Three defeats on the clock over this period of time, including a final scathing one inflicted this Saturday by Udinese (0-3, 32nd day of Serie A).

In the standings, the Milanese remain third and for the moment maintain a safety margin compared to Como, their direct pursuer who has a game in hand and is five lengths behind. However, Massimiliano Allegri’s men’s performance of the day was not very reassuring.

Offensively, they tried a lot, but their imprecision was impressive with only three shots on target out of twenty attempts. Behind, there were these three goals conceded by Mike Maignan far from being helped by his defense. The visitors’ opening score was also the work of a Milanese, in this case Davide Bartesaghi (0-1, 27th).

Milan can see Napoli clinch it

Ten minutes later, it was Jürgen Ekkelenkamp who doubled the lead in favor of Udine (0-2, 37th). The second half changed nothing and Udinese’s third goal was scored by Arthur Atta (0-3, 71st). Milan could be left behind for second place on Sunday. If Napoli win at Parma, they will be five points ahead of the Rossoneri.

As for Udinese, it is a third match in a row without defeat in the league (two wins and a draw) which allows them to temporarily climb to tenth place.
