Report Lens-PSG: Jérôme Rothen massacres the LFP

At the origin of a petition signed by more than 6,500 people to oppose the postponement of the match between Lens and PSG, Jérôme Rothen had the misfortune to learn that the League had not granted his request. The match will finally be played on May 13, to allow the Parisians to best prepare for their C1 quarter-final against Liverpool. In his show Rothen ignites this Thursday evening, the former French international debunked this LFP decision.

“We believed in it without believing in it, we did what we could, this petition was not against PSG but against the League, for the interest of French football. I’m not surprised with these people who voted… I enjoyed seeing this clash between Lens and PSG. In terms of attractiveness, it was great to experience that… I understand PSG, it was legitimate to ask for the postponement. But what is the goal of the LFP? Protect the French championship above all, before talking to us about the European showcase, the UEFA index… They are incapable of making good decisions to move in the direction of the attractiveness of our championship. They are all bogus, the championship is worth 0, there is no more attractiveness, no more suspense… so you agree and please the European champion? Ok… but fortunately PSG are there, because they keep them alive. If PSG did not bring back so many UEFA points, I reassure you Mr. Labrune, we would be 8th.”
