The 28th day of the Bundesliga offered a multiplex of six matches, this Saturday, from 3:30 p.m. Undisputed leader, Bayern Munich took to the Friborg pitch and Vincent Kompany’s men experienced a thrilling encounter, a few days before challenging Real Madrid in the quarter-final of the Champions League. Surprised by a goal from Manzambi after returning from the locker room and a second goal from Höler, the Bavarians – with a reshuffled team – came very close to defeat. Fortunately for them, the young Tom Bischof scored a double at the end of the match before the nugget Lennart Karl offered victory to his team after added time (2-3).

In the other matches of the afternoon, Bayer Leverkusen put on a show against Wolfsburg (6-3) while Borussia M’Gladbach snatched a draw from Heidenheim (2-2) thanks to Honorat. For its part, Hamburg could not do better than a draw (1-1) against Augsburg. Carried by a double from Tietz, Mainz defeated Hoffenheim (2-1). Fourth at kick-off, RB Leipzig did not tremble to get rid of Werder Bremen. In the standings, Bayern remains more than ever leader ahead of Dortmund and Stuttgart, closely followed by Leipzig. Heidenheim is dead last.
